Introducing...EQUALIZE a full-day music production workshop for women and non-binary APRA AMCOS members.

EQUALIZE is designed for women and non-binary APRA AMCOS members with a basic operative understanding of music production and who are keen to further build their technical skills and industry knowledge to become a producer - whether that is for their own work or the work of others. Three weekends of workshops are lined up with Sydney taking place 9 March at Studios 301Brisbane on 16 March at QUT's Skyline Studiosand Melbourne on 30 March at the Abbey Road Institute and Music and Effects in South Yarra. Applications for all workshops are now open.

EQUALIZE is an initiative created to support our commitment to improving gender parity across the membership through a variety of skills and industry development programs.

Attendees will spend the day in small groups for genre-based studio instruction with experts in that field. The three areas of focus are:

  • composing for the screen (film and TV)
  • electronic/pop music production
  • recording/producing bands in studio

Presenters include APRA Screen Music Award-winning composer and AGSC President Caitlin Yeo, producer Mookhi, mixer/engineer Antonia Gauci, and Studio 301's Shelley Bishop; as well as genre-defying producer Jan Skubiszewski, screen composer Bryony Marks (Please Like Me, Barracuda), Ableton expert Jane Hanley, electronic music innovator Eve Klein, and Liveschool's Ninajirachi.
